Spot welding is a method of electrical resistance in which two or more metal sheets are clamped between electrodes and at the same time an electric current applied so that surface material reaches temperature then fused. The purpose study was to determine tensile strength 5083 aluminum plate connection spot process. This research carried out experimentally as for connected AA has thickness 1 mm. Before out, it necessary variation parameters, namely 1.75 volts, 2.20 2.28 volts second, 1.5 seconds, 2 seconds. process by varying these with shape occurs overlapping. After splicing process, specimen tested through tensile. From results study, obtained greater used, power used can be seen longer time, used. Keywords: welding, strength, 5083. Abstrak Las titik (spot welding) merupakan salah satu cara pengelasan resistansi listrik di mana dua atau lebih lembaran logam jepit antara elektroda dan pada saat yang bersamaan arus alirkan sehingga permukaan mencapai temperatur kemudian bersatu. Penelitian laksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan tarik sambungan plat alumunium proses welding. lakukan secara eksperimen, adapun bahan sambung adalah aluminium memiliki ketebalan Sebelum lakukan, maka tentukan terlebih dahulu variasi parameter yaitu terdiri dari 1,75 V, 2,20 2,28 V waktu selama s, 1,5 s. Proses memvariasikan tersebut, dengan bentuk tumpang tindih. setelah penyambungan, spesimen pengujian melalui uji tarik.Hasil penelitian peroleh bahwa jika tegangan semakin besar gunakan, daya listriknya, lama gunakan besar.
